Why is it that only Bangladesh got stuck with the refugees but Indonesia and Malaysia send them back immediately? The heads of these state constantly virtue signal about Islamic solidarity when it comes to Palestine but nothing when it comes to their own backyard.

Geography obviously matters. Bangladesh is next door. To get to Malaysia, refugees either have to take a long boat ride or pass through Thailand, which complicates the asylum proceedure. On Palestine, yes they're virtue signalling and it's cost-free. Solidarity with Rohingya would come at a cost to KL and Jakarta, namely the financial costs of providing for many, many refugees.

They don't volunteer to take in some refugees per year like Canada for Palestinians. They don't even provide aid for refugees in Bangladesh despite being far richer than us.
